Howeve I will say that it turned out better than I expected. We’ve all seen those city maps online; the ones of new york, manhatten, and mostly other big US cities for people to hang on their walls and dream about. They all looked very similar to me and I was quick to learn theres many easy online programs people can use to make and buy these things.

They all looked very similar to me and I was quick to learn theres many easy online programs people can use to make and buy these things.

I wanted to make one for my girlfriend of her hometown, however I ran into the issue when trying to use these online tools, that her town was simply too small to be mapped properly (as most of these use the google maps api to auto generate the image). So realising the map would not at all look that impressive (maybe a picture of 3 roads), I had no option left but to attempt to draw the map myself in illustrator and photoshop.
